NAMED

A name (specified by the required ID attribute) is attached to the enclosed text and markup (the enclosed text is rendered as usual). Other entries may include this named block by its ID. This allows rapid writing of new entries for computer series where certain features remain more or less constant. Reusing text helps in maintenance too (you don't have to change all instances of an error to fix it).

You cannot nest named blocks (i.e. define named blocks inside named blocks). You cannot refer to other named blocks inside named blocks. This is done to increase rendering speed (each named block reference is one database lookup) and avoid circular references.
