INCLUDE

Link in material from other entries. INCLUDE takes at the very least the mandatory attribute TYPE="PICS", TYPE="NEWS" or TYPE="LINKS". It complements NAMED and REF in that it allows content to be included without being duplicated needlessly. Typical placement is at the top of the file before the first SECTION. INCLUDE TYPE="PICS" includes all pictures from another computer into this one's entries. TYPE="NEWS" includes news bulletins (at the time of writing, there can be no news bulletins for computers or companies, but this is set to change). TYPE="LINKS" includes all links from another computer's entry.

These are useful for computers that are very similar. For instance, all links applicable to the ZX-Spectrum are applicable to the ZX-Spectrum Plus.

REF inserts into an entry NAMED text from an XML entry; INCLUDE inserts into an entry dynamic content that's not in the XML source. REF is static. If you change the REFerenced entry, you must re-insert all entries referencing. This does not happen with INCLUDE, as it inserts information dynamically.
